Developing a systematic approach to make the best care even better.

The NHPCC is working with our partners to align strategic efforts around projects that address our national priorities as identified in the national needs assessments and Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) core measures. The projects strive to increase access to care for underserved members of the bleeding disorders population and to improve the care delivered once a person is engaged with our system of care.

Based on the findings of the nationwide needs assessments, the focus of projects on making the best care even better include the following areas:

  • 340B Drug Pricing Program
Assessing the impact of this federal program on HTCs and the bleeding disorders population
  • Genetics
    Increasing knowledge through outreach initiatives
  • Models of Care
Evaluating new care models designed to provide high-quality care at a lower cost
  • Staff Development
Ensuring that all staff members have access to the same professional development opportunities
  • Telemedicine
Exploring how HTCs can provide care remotely
  • Transition of Care
Addressing the need for improved services to support the transition of care from adolescence to adulthood
