The HTRS / ATHN Dataset Research Engagement and ATHN Mentorship Award is the first research award offered through the collaboration of HTRS and ATHN and made available through an educational grant from Baxalta.

  • Up to $100,000 over up to 24 months for young investigators to use the national ATHNdataset for mentored research
  • Research must advance the care of patients with hemostasis disorders using the national ATHNdataset under the guidance of experienced mentors
  • Investigators must work with an ATHN-affiliated U.S.-based HTC and must reside in the U.S.
  • Multicenter collaboration is encouraged

2015 Dream Award Recipients

Congratulations to Tyler W. Buckner, MD, MSc from the University of Colorado and Ming Y. Lim, MB, BChir, MA from the Medical University of South Carolina, recipients of the HTRS/ATHNdataset Research Engagement and ATHN Mentorship (DREAM) Award. This is the first research award offered through the collaboration of HTRS and ATHN and made available through an educational grant from Baxalta. Each recipient will receive $50,000 to further his or her research over the next year.

2016 Dream Award Recipients

Congratulations to Lynn Malec, M.D. from Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh/Hemophilia Center of Western PA, Stacy Croteau, M.D. from Boston Children's Hospital, and Bobby Tran, M.D. from Emory University recipients of the HTRS/ATHNdataset Research Engagement and ATHN Mentorship (DREAM) Award funded through the generosity of the Hemophilia of Georgia. Each recipient received up to $100,000 to further his or her research.
